Definition: Orgasmic disorder [anorgasmia] is the persistent or recurrent difficulty, delay in or absence of orgasm, or markedly diminished intensity of orgasmic sensations after normal sexual stimulation and arousal, which causes personal distress or interpersonal difficulty.
This diagnosis does not apply if sexual stimulation is deficient in focus, intensity or duration, or is unwelcome.

Orgasmic disorder can be:
  1. Primary : orgasm has never been experienced
  2. Secondary: recent inability or difficulty in achieving orgasms in situations where it was possible before
  3. Generalised: no orgasm under any circumstances
  4. Situational: orgasm only occurs in certain circumstances: with certain partner/s or positions, masturbation etc. About 50% of women can be described as having situational anorgasmia [2].
