Welcome to the Southern African Sexual Health Association (SASHA)
- The Southern African Sexual Health Association is a non-profit organisation that was established in 1999 in response to the high level of interest in sexual health issues from both health care professionals and the public in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic as well as the availablity of medication for the treatment for erectile dysfunction.
- Start-up funding was provided by Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals.
Our Mission
To provide credible information and education on sexual health issues from a multidisciplinary perspective for the general public, the media and healthcare professionals
Our Values
- We are non-discriminatory and recognise the diversity of sexual orientation, sexual behaviour and sexual practices.
- We recognise that sexual health involves medical, psychological and social components and welcome registered healthcare practitioners from these disciplines as members.
- We believe that sexual rights are fundamental human rights, and support The Universal Declaration of Sexual Rights from The World Association for Sexology. [See: Sexual Rights]
