The Sqeeze Technique

This technique is used in the treatment of premature ejaculation, teaching you how to control the timing of your ejaculation. But even if you do not ejaculate prematurely, you can use the squeeze technique to learn how to keep your erection longer so you and your partner can enjoy extended lovemaking.

After some relaxed loveplay, let your partner stimulate your penis to a point just before you feel you are about to ejaculate. Then, place your thumbat the join of the shaft and head of the penis, and index finger around the tip and third finger on the midshaft of your penis and squeeze very firmly for at least 20 seconds. Let your partner caress you all over your body as you squeeze. Or have her take over and apply the squeeze as you lie flat on your back and relax. Be sure to relax the muscles of your buttocks and legs. Your penis will lose some of its erection.

Wait for 30 seconds after the squeeze and then ask your partner to begin stimulating your penis again in your favorite way. Just before you feel the urge to ejaculate, again squeeze the penis for 20 seconds. Wait thirty seconds and start all over again the she can bring you to climax

After you do the squeeze technique during several sessions, you will notice that you can learn to control your erection and ejaculation. It will last longer the more faithfully you do the squeeze technique exercises.

Gradually introduse the 'stop- start' technique as well [See: Ejaculation Problems in Men: Premature ejaculation].

Soon, the muscle relaxation and pause in your lovemaking will become automatic and may be all you need to delay ejaculation. As you progress, thinking of the delay may be all you need to sustain your erection.

Men with severe premature ejaculation benefit from a small dose of antidepressant medication. Your doctor will decide whether an antidepressant can help you.
