Several theories about the origins of a person’s sexual orientation are being argued.  However most recent scientists agree that the formation of sexual orientation is most likely the result of a complex interaction between environmental, cognitive and biological factors and that it is in most cases shaped at an early age.  Furthermore considerable recent evidence suggests that a person’s sexuality is significantly influenced by genetic hormonal factors and biology.  There seems to be several probable reasons for a person’s sexual orientation, but it is however important to acknowledge that the reasons might differ from individual to individual [7].
