Communication is important so start by talking to your partner, and acknowledging that there is a problem. Consider the possible causes, look at the strengths and weaknesses [positive and negative influences] in your relationship, and see if it is possible to sort out some of them, and if necessary seek help from a professional therapist.

There are many reasons to enjoy sexual intimacy which can be experienced even without having a goal of orgasm on every  occasion.

Consider some of the reasons for engaging in sexual activity:

  1. Love and affection
  2. Restore or maintain intimacy
  3. Satisfy  sexual  need
  4. Release of sexual tension
  5. Express and receive pleasure
  6. Satisfy skin hunger
  7. Nurturing and comfort
  8. Affirm relationship, increase bonding
  9. Emotional closeness
  10. Reproduction
  11. Feels good
  12. Feeling attracted and attractive
