Objective, well-designed scientific research over 35 years has found that homosexuality is definitely not a mental illness, disorder or emotional problem.  In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association went as far as to remove homosexuality as a listing from the official manual that lists mental and emotional disorders.  Two years later the American Psychological Association passed a resolution supporting the removal [7].
