Is there sex after 50?

Yes, the best is yet to come. Both men and women have the ability to be better lovers after 50. Loving is more leisured. More partners are more intimately aware of each other's needs. Men need more direct stimulation to gain and maintain an erection, but will usually last longer.

Pitfalls to sex in later life are: various illnesses, like arthritis, heart disease, cancer may make lovemaking difficult. Depression may inhibit the desire for sex. Medications for high blood pressure, so common in older individuals may lead to difficulty to sustaining an erection. The most common pitfall is the myth that sex is only for young beautiful people.
